Harran University

Harran University is a public university in Sanlıurfa, Turkey. The institution was founded in 1992 and named after the historical city of Harran. Harran City is 44 kilometers from Sanlıurfa. It was a city center in the southeast that has witnessed significant historical events. Important studies were carried out in the fields of astronomy, medicine, mathematics, philosophy, and religion at the Harran School, which was considered the university of this period.

Harran University consists of 3 campuses. Today, our university continues its activities with 14 Faculties, 4 Schools, 1 State Conservatory, 13 Vocational Schools, 3 Institutes, and 15 Research and Application Centers. It serves nearly 30.000 students with approximately 1000 academic staff.

Harran University is one of the most important educational institutions in the region and makes significant contributions to the development of the region and even the country. The language of education is Turkish. The university offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programs in many fields such as engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, health sciences, education, agriculture and veterinary medicine.

It is aimed at continuous improvement and development in education, research, and practice at our university. Great importance is attached to scientific research. Research is carried out for the solution of agricultural and socioeconomic problems in the region. In addition, the university has many research centers and many projects are carried out in these centers.

Harran University offers many opportunities to its students. There are clubs in our university where students can engage in social and cultural activities, and many activities are organized. In addition, many services are provided for students to receive support during their education.
